The story continues …………..

After some frenetic activity just before Christmas, I am pleased to say that the hard copy version of the questionnaire was completed (big thanks to Kirsty Edlin who burnt some midnight oil on this) by the print run deadline of December 16th.  The printers turned it around in 3 days, just in time for it to be inserted in the Christmas edition of the Cubert News (big thanks to Wayne and Jane Caff for organising this) and hopefully arrived on your doorsteps around December 20th.

At the same time, Tim Lord had converted the paper version of the survey in to an electronic format and uploaded it on to the website (cubertndp.co.uk).  So there are two options for completing the survey questionnaire – either filling out the paper copy that came in the newsletter and returning it to Cubert Post Office, or completing the electronic version on the website and submitting it.  We hope you find one of these options suits you.

So what happens next?

So now we await the return of completed questionnaires.  When the Steering Group met last week (January 6th), we had received 48 hard copy and 12 online returns, nearly 10% of the 650 households in the parish and many thanks to all those who have responded.  It’s a great start and we are already seeing some trends in the answers so far.  But we really need more data before we can start to draw meaningful conclusions.  So this update includes a plea to all those parishioners who have tucked the survey on the corner of the worktop or keep meaning to go on the website, to find the time to complete and return or submit the survey.  It only takes 10 minutes but it is your chance to influence the future development of Cubert Parish.

So the drive is on to encourage more people to respond to the survey, especially younger parishioners!  To promote this, the Steering Group is going to run a poster campaign as well as connecting more closely with various stakeholders in the Parish, including Cubert School and Holywell Surf Lifesaving Club.  We really do need to hear everyone’s views.
