Following on from my last Newsletter update in August, I am pleased to say that we now have a confirmed date for the NDP consultation exhibition which will be held on Saturday 13th November in Cubert Village Hall.
A display relating to each of the six priority subjects that were identified from the initial survey will be available to review and comment on. There will be the opportunity for Cubert Parish residents to express their views and or suggestions, anonymously if they so wish, on each subject area. In essence we will be showing what we have found to date and asking the question “what do you think / suggest”?
For those who missed the publication of the survey results in July 2020 the priorities were identified as:
- Priorities for new housing development
- Future business development in the parish
- Provision of sports and leisure facilities
- Traffic control and car parking
- Protecting our heritage assets and green spaces
- Safe guarding our school facilities and potential expansion needs
The primary purpose of the exhibition is to inform, publicise and seek the views of as many parishioners as possible prior to the composition of the initial Cubert Neighbourhood Development Plan. The plan will be based on public opinion and I would ask everyone, who has an interest in the future of the Parish, to find the time to come along and provide constructive ideas and suggestions.
I will confirm timings in next month’s Newsletter.
Further information of note will continue to be made available via the newsletter, website and Facebook page.
