Neighbourhood Development Plan
The government states that a neighbourhood development plan “Gives communities direct power to develop a shared vision for their neighbourhood and shape the development and growth of their local area. They are able to identify where they want new homes, shops and offices to be built, have their say on what those new buildings should look like and what infrastructure should be provided, and influence planning decisions for the new buildings they want to see go ahead.”
The plan is developed through a consultative process to find out what our community wants for the parish and how they would like it to grow and develop in the future. Everyone in the parish can (and is encouraged to) contribute to the plan, no matter what their age.
The community itself can set out what the priorities for the parish are and should be – green space, housing, local amenities to name a few. Everyone from the parish is welcome to attend the steering group meetings and take an active role in putting together our very own plan for the future. If you are unable to attend meetings, we welcome your input via our survey.
